Time After Time: Embracing YOUR Journey

Time after time, I hear my old friends and I joke about the question, “What is time?” Because honestly, what is time except another excuse to add more stress to our plates? Who’s with me on that statement?

Through my menopause journey, I’ve learned that time and stress go hand in hand. More stress means more cortisol—and that extra cortisol ups our histamine levels, which only makes our daily menopause symptoms feel more intense. It’s like a vicious cycle that I’ve spent what feels like two lifetimes trying to break.

I've been honing my health, cutting away the stressors that no longer serve me, and rebuilding my routine from scratch. I set a new sleep schedule (and stick to it!), take my supplements, and push myself to exercise—even when it feels like I have to drag my ass to the mat like I’m in my own version of Fight Club.

I say it loud and clear: TIME is the ingredient it will take to heal and slowly transform into a lifestyle reminiscent of who we once were—with some modern tweaks, of course. I look back at all my transformations and realize that I’m not even at “butterfly status” yet. My wings may have formed so damn slowly, but they’re there, budded, and growing. And you know what? I’m determined to grow them into the most beautiful wings I can and fly, because I am strong, and I refuse to let menopause hold me back any longer.

So, here’s my promise: I will keep fighting. I will drag my ass to the mat, take my supplements, and make healthier choices every day. If you're on a similar journey, know that it’s okay to take your time. Healing is a process, and every small step counts.
